Originally formed as a HipHop group in 1985 Milton Keynes, DJ Halo, DJ Spatts, MC Iceski, Chase 1, Safe D, and CMD self-funded and released their first mini-album Guilty As Charged in 1990 and followed up shortly after with the EP Tales From the Wasteland. Both were hailed within the UK hip hop scene for their ahead of its time rap delivery and diverse use of samples.
As the rave scene gained momentum from 1991 they mutated to fuse their hip hop style with Breakbeat Hardcore which resulted in what is regarded as an all-time classic of the genre Baptised By Dub. Prolific output including tracks such as The Criminal and Joyrider II cemented their influence on the burgeoning scene and the rest is history. An anthology/compilation of The Criminal Minds hip hop output was retrospectively released in 2011 by Aphex Twins’ Rephlex Records label. A brand new album Genre Non-Specific is slated for release before the end of 2023 on Kniteforce Records.

The artist also known as Jerome Hill has over 35 years of DJing under his belt, a stalwart of the scene from breakbeats to techno the Hornsey Hardcore sound hits the sound of ’92 dead centre

Total Science in the house! Known best for some of the most famous rave stabs of all time Q-Project had already been a jungle techno producer a few years before dropping the tune that spearheaded the scene’s transition from jungle techno to jungle in the mid nineties. Going on to form one of the most genre spanning Jungle Drum & Bass duo’s Q-Project (Quiffy to his friends) has fused original rave sounds into the very fabric of drum and bass for over 30 years. This is a set we were really excited to get organised, exxxxclusive!
